Pressure Contest

Which there wasn't, Thomas assured himself. He felt fine. Even his finger felt fine. It was just a little discolored. Even just a little. There was just this one spot and thing to worry about. Thomas rubbed his index finger. It felt fine. There wasn't a slight bit of numbness along the side, was there? Maybe there was. Wasn't it more sensitive before? Or was it? It wasn't like he really paid attention to these things. There wasn't a lot of opportunity to really challenge his fingers to a pressure contest. Unless he poked himself with a tool or something - he didn't really keep track.
